Congratulations to our PREMIERS for 2011
The under 10A and the Under 16A
Well done to all sides that competed over the weekend in the Grand Finals.
8C - Saturday at 8.30am it all started,our mighty Under 8Cs took to the field,these little blokes tried their hearts out only to go down in the last seconds,they were cheered on by there own little Gorilla cheer squad and what a great effort boys well done.
9C - A great effort from these guys as well,for alot of these kids this was their first year of Rugby League they played some terrific footy and to get thru to the Grand Final is something you should all be proud of well done.
11A - The boys went into this years Grand Final playing for 4 in a row,they tried hard and played some really good rugby league however it wasnt to be this year, again a mighty effort boys and im sure they will be back bigger and better next year.
A Grade - A big effort from these guys on Sunday,this team finished 4th in the comp and with some of the best footy played by Gymea A Grade in many years thru the Semis saw this team get to the Grand Final,again not there day yesterday but well done boys a fantastic effort from everyone.Best wishes to Andrew Houston who broke his leg yesterday during the game get well soon mate.
10A Premiers - after missing out last year they were determined to make sure there was no repeat and the boys came out and played some great footy,a terrific effort,some good tries scored and this year was their year, well done boys.
16A Premiers - what can you say,these kids have just gone 4 Premierships in a row what a fantastic effort,a hard tough game but the gorillas showed plenty of heart.The match went to the wire with the boys coming from behind.With 2 mins to go it was locked at 18 all and then a field goal being the difference to Win well done boys.
Gymea WINS Club Relay at Shark Park
on Saturday night Congratulations to our runners who on Saturday Night at Shark Park took out the club relay for 2011,3 years in a row we have won the event
This year,1st prize was a new Plasma TV for the winning Club,
well done to all involved
Congratulations to Phil Murray
Phil on Saturday Night 30th July was awarded the
Junior League Volunteer of the Year for 2011
Well done our behalf of everyone at the Gymea Club.
Under 6 Gala Day
Congratulations to all our Under 6 sides who took part in the Gala Day on Sunday 7th August,from all accounts a great day had by everyone.
Well done to our 6 Blues who finished runners up at this years event.
2011 Tommy Martin knockout
Well done to our Under 7 Side who competed Sunday the 26th June 2011 in the 2011 Tommy Martin knockout At Corrimal
The boys made it through to the Semi Finals which is a great effort well done.
Well done to our Under 8A Side who competed Sunday the 22nd May in the 2011 Lionel Spud knockout At Helensburg.The boys made it through to the Semi Finals which is a great effort well done.

Jenny McNamara was nominated and won the Cronulla Junior league Women in league volunteers award,
Jenny also won Mum of the Week on the Game Plan Footy Show
